Supporting Edmonton in a Pandemic - Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi

When the pandemic hit last year, it caught us all off guard and changed the way we live our daily lives. It also brought many challenges that we'll be facing for years to come.

That being said, when our community comes together, we can provide monumental support and lift each other to great heights. Let's face it, 2020 was hard on us all, which is why I worked even harder to help those who needed an extra hand. It wasn't easy and to be quite frank, it required many, many hours of hands-on labour, innovative thinking, and sleepless nights. But, I'm glad I stepped up.

Last year, my foundation and I had the great privilege of helping tens of thousands of families here in Edmonton, as well as many small and local business owners. The following video is a small snapshot of my 2020 and the community initiatives I spearheaded in the wake of COVID-19. Whether it was hosting Alberta's biggest back-to-school event, raising astronomical resources for local charities, or connecting with our city's unhoused population, there was nothing too big or too small to be worthy of my attention.

In a world of talkers, I prefer to walk the walk.
